The "2050 Net Zero, Global Energy Sector Roadmap" released by the International Energy Agency in the spring of 2021 clearly states that in order to achieve ambitious and sometimes necessary carbon dioxide reduction targets by 2050, 50% of global heating demand must be met through heat pumps by 2045 at the latest.

To achieve this goal, short-term action is needed to find the best heat pump implementation solution among all types of buildings, and most importantly, there is an urgent need to find and provide the best heat pump implementation solution in high-density cities, with a focus on new and existing multi family buildings.

In many countries, the construction sector plays a crucial role in reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The dominant position of buildings and heat pumps in emission reduction is also impressively included in the International Energy Agency's 2050 net zero roadmap, which includes nearly 70% of solar photovoltaic and wind power generation in 2050, and 1.8 billion heat pumps are used for the operation and supply of buildings.

Due to the excellent introduction of the concept of near zero energy consumption buildings (nZEB) into their high-performance heat pumps, this has been set as a requirement for all new buildings in the European Union starting from January 1, 2021.

Similarly, in Asian countries, nZEB targets have been announced, such as Japan and South Korea, where new buildings will reach the highest energy efficiency standards by 2025, while in the United States and Canada, the goal of net zero energy buildings will introduce new buildings within the time frame of 2020 to 2030. In the United States, the Department of Energy has defined net zero energy ready households.

In order to limit the net zero emissions of global temperature rise and climate change in 2050, rapidly reduce carbon dioxide emissions and achieve the goal of carbon neutrality. Domestic hot water and home heating will be the areas with the highest demand in the heat pump market.

In the future, there will be more new technologies and business opportunities in the heat pump industry. Early deployment of the heat pump industry will become an expected business growth path for the next 30 years.
