Seven Easy Questions To Teach You How To Solve The Installation Problem of Air Source Heat Pump Water Heaters

Publish Time: 2024-01-03     Origin: Site

Q: As our home is an old house, it is not easy to change the appearance of the hot water pipeline and the ground. Can we also install an air powered water heater?

Answer: Sure.

Q: When is the best time to consider an air powered water heater when the house is being renovated?

Answer: Before the water and electricity workers enter the site. In order to ensure the best usage effect, before the water and electricity engineering enters the site, pipeline technicians are invited to visit the site, design the direction of the hot water pipeline, and determine the optimal placement position of the air powered water heater. After the installation of water and electricity is completed, the air powered water heater only needs to be connected to a water pipe and plugged in.

Q: Where is the best placement for the water tank and main unit of an air powered water heater?

Answer: It is best to place the air energy water tank on the balcony or bay window. According to statistics, 90% of customers can place air in these locations. The advantage of this is that it does not occupy indoor space, is stable and safe, and provides sufficient hot water to connect the entire hot water pipeline system in the home. It is best to place the air conditioner in a well ventilated and sunny place. Air energy water heaters absorb heat from air energy, and methods such as bay windows or external wall mounted systems can help the host absorb heat from the air as much as possible, improving heating efficiency.

Q: I already have other types of water heaters at home, can I convert them into air powered water heaters?

Answer: Sure. Compared to other water heaters, air powered water heaters have obvious advantages. During the renovation, only the interface in the previous hot water pipeline needs to be connected to the hot water outlet of the air powered water heater.

Q: Do air powered water heaters have special requirements for water pressure when producing water?

Answer: The water tank of the air energy water heater is a pressure bearing water tank, with a general municipal water supply pressure of 0.2~0.3MPa, which can fully meet the usage requirements. If the pressure of tap water at home is lower than 0.1MPa, it is recommended to install a booster pump for boosting; If the water pressure is higher than 0.5MPa, it is recommended to install a pressure reducing valve to reduce the water pressure to 0.2~0.3MPa.

Q: If the water tank of the air powered water heater is placed on the second

floor but the water point is on the third floor, can the hot water go up?

Answer: Sure. The water outlet of the air powered water heater relies on the pressure of the tap water itself. As long as the tap water can reach the third floor, hot water can reach the third floor.

Q: Do air powered water heaters have special requirements for the power cord?

Answer: Air powered water heaters are significantly energy-efficient, with lower power compared to ordinary water heaters. A power cord for general household use is sufficient. Taking a 200L air energy water heater as an example, with a rated power of 1250W, the 1.5mm power cord used in ordinary households can meet the needs.
