These 7 Items Must Be Checked before Starting The Heat Pump, And These 10 Items Must Be Checked After Starting The Heat Pump

Before starting the air heat pump, these 7 items must be checked, and after starting, these 10 items must be checked!

As the heating season approaches, air source heat pump heating will also begin its mission. But if you want the heat pump heating system to operate more stably in winter and even prolong its service life, it is best to conduct a "full body examination" of the entire system before use. So, what specific parts should be checked? This article introduces the details that need to be checked for the main unit of an air to heat pump.

These 7 items need to be checked before starting up

1. Check if all voltages are balanced.

If the voltage is too high or too low, the compressor will not start because all compressors have startup protection. The voltage imbalance between phases should be less than 2%, and the voltage should be around 360-420V.

2. Check if the unit voltage and electrical system wiring are secure.

The main task is to determine if there are any problems with the circuit, whether there are abnormal electrical components, whether the leakage protector can operate effectively, etc. If there are any abnormalities, they should be repaired and replaced in a timely manner. If the power supply is normal and there is an incorrect wiring in the circuit, there may be some parts of the system that are not responding, such as the water pump not running, the wire controller, and the operator not turning on.

3. Check if the safety protection device of the unit has been disassembled or adjusted.

All safety protection devices in the host are set before leaving the factory, but sometimes customers may adjust themselves due to certain circumstances. For example, if the system water pump is selected as small but already installed, Party A does not want to replace it, so the water flow switch is short circuited and not used. In this case, if the time is long, it is easy to experience high voltage protection of the host.

4. Check the fluorine system for leaks.

It is to check whether there is oil contamination on the pipeline joints and inflation valves inside the machine. If there is oil contamination, it indicates that there has been leakage during previous use. In this case, starting up will result in low voltage protection or affect the heating effect of the host. If the refrigerant leaks, it is necessary to first find the leak point, handle the leak point, and then check the pressure gauge to see if it needs to be supplemented.

5. Check if the air outlet of the host is blocked or poorly ventilated.

The surroundings of the unit should be kept clean, dry, and well ventilated. If the air outlet is blocked or debris is piled up around the unit, it can affect the heat exchange capacity and even cause the main unit to shut down for protection. When there is severe dust accumulation on the evaporator fins, it should also be cleaned in a timely manner. Before cleaning the unit, the main power supply of the unit should be turned off first.

6. Check if the evaporator needs cleaning.

After a period of operation of the host, the fins will inevitably be blocked by dust and other debris, affecting its heat exchange efficiency, reducing the heating effect and increasing energy consumption. So in general, after 6 to 12 months of unit operation, the fin heat exchanger needs to be cleaned. When the surrounding environment is heavily polluted, the cleaning cycle should be shortened.

Cleaning method: First cut off the power supply of the unit, and then use high-pressure gas to repeatedly flush the fins against the inlet direction of the heat exchanger. The flushing direction is perpendicular to the fins to prevent them from flipping. High pressure water can also be used for flushing. During flushing, the pressure of the water should be controlled well, the fins should be prevented from flipping, and electrical components should be protected. If oily substances are stuck on the fins, water dissolved in neutral detergent should be used for flushing. The cleaning effect is based on seeing the original color of the fins or whether the water flowing down the fins is clean water.

7. Check if there are any changes to the operating and safety protection parameters of the host.

Before the first heating, the manufacturer will adjust the parameters, but after running for a heating season, the first party may have made mistakes and changed some parameters. For example, the entry conditions for defrosting, the degree of opening of the thermal valve, whether the unit controls the inlet temperature or the return temperature, etc. If set incorrectly, it will have an impact on the temperature operation of the system.

After startup, these 10 items need to be checked

1. Check if all components of the host are working properly.

Mainly checking compressors, sensors, expansion valves, etc.

2. Check if the working pressure of the host system is normal.

Abnormal pressure is generally caused by the fluorine system. Low pressure is usually due to fluorine leakage, while high pressure is either due to blockage of the fluorine system or water system. If there are any abnormalities, they should be repaired and replaced in a timely manner.

3. Check if there are any abnormal noises and vibrations during the operation of the main engine.

The main task is to check whether the foundation of the unit is fixed loosely. If there is any looseness, the noise will be relatively high. At this point, it needs to be re fixed. If there is any abnormal noise, confirm the source of the noise

4. Check the compressor for abnormal noise and vibration.

If there is a leak, if there is too much lubricating oil leakage, the compressor will run hard due to a lack of lubricating oil, which will produce abnormal noise. In addition, if the compressor is loose, it will also produce abnormal noise. If abnormal noise occurs, it should be handled according to different situations.

5. Check and record relevant operational data.

For example, the operating voltage and current data of the compressor motor. Large commercial projects require recording of operational data to facilitate later troubleshooting. If there is a system malfunction or problem, this data can be used for judgment and troubleshooting. In addition, operational data can be recorded to analyze the operation status and efficiency of the unit.

6. Check if the host controller can operate normally.

For example, whether the controller is malfunctioning or not. If the controller is external, there are many cases of malfunction, and the connecting signal wire may be damp, or it may be loose or damaged due to the customer moving back and forth. If damp or damaged, it is necessary to replace the connecting wire with a new one.

After starting the main engine, carefully observe whether the compressor current is normal.

If any of the following faults are found, such as tripping control circuit fault indication, the cause should be checked and identified before starting. If the exhaust temperature of the compressor is too high, it indicates that there is excessive air in the unit system that has not been completely discharged and should be discharged. Sometimes there may be water flow faults, and the system can only be started when the water flow rate reaches 1.3 meters or more (to avoid freezing the heat exchanger). Check if the flow switch is installed correctly, and if it is not suitable, make changes before starting again.

8. Check if the outlet temperature of the host is consistent with the displayed value.

When the actual outlet temperature of the air source heat pump is inconsistent with the displayed value on the unit control panel, check whether the temperature sensing device is in good contact or the position is correct. Generally speaking, the temperature sensing probe inside the device is not easily damaged, and it is more likely that the sensor installed by the user will be damaged. If the sensor is damaged, it needs to be replaced.

9. Warm up before starting the machine.

If the car is not running for a long time, it usually needs to be preheated first. The same applies to the heat pump host. Before starting, it is generally necessary to preheat the compressor. The power supply of the unit should be turned on in advance to ensure a preheating time of more than 8 hours and avoid damage caused by forced start of the compressor.

10. Do not manually start or stop during the trial operation process.

During the trial operation, the compressor should be shut down for less than 3 minutes. Do not manually start it again. Please do not manually stop the machine after running for less than 6 minutes. If the compressor is frequently turned on and off in a short period of time, it will reduce the service life of the compressor.
